We are hoping to get on milk test at some point. In the meantime, we have built our Nigerian Dwarf herd from conscientious breeders that have implemented that wonderful tool.
CAE testing 100% NEGATIVE - as usual! Latest CL testing also 100% negative.
We don't have as many Nigerian Dwarf goats (the 50+ we used to) as we are working on promoting other mini breeds but it's hard to let totally them go, ya know?!
* We are able to send in for ADGA papers on AGS does/bucks.

I was tired of having to work so hard to get under my shortest nigies to milk, even with machines, so we have been pleased that he usually throws a bit more height on the nigerian does. So, although at maturity Parker is measuring over-height, the does have stayed under. IMO, you know, part of the qualities of a good dairy goat should be able to have that milk easily accessible. I also feel the taller nigies usually can give a bit more milk as there is more body substance there to pull the milk from. But, I wish they would add an inch or two to the breed standard. Oh, well, how's that for a rant? I guess that is why we also love the minis. Since Parker is taller, the main reason we purchased him is to also use him for our mini-lamanchas and, of course, we like the polled gene as well but that is another rant for another day ;) Anyway, as per his pedigree, Parker's offspring should be nice quality milkers!
