Kunekune  Pigs are here !

We have brought in the best little heritage homestead type of pork.... Kunekune Pigs!   Their smaller size is easier to manage and besides,  who needs 500 lbs. of pork in their freezer all at once.  Not me!   These hardy guys love to forage on mostly pasture and what not.  However, because the goats are currently "hogging" most of the pasture space, they are content eating alfalfa hay, a little browse, a tiny cup of grain or whatever scraps I have from the house as a treat. These are really efficient animals!  Not to mention that their meat is considered "gourmet" pork.  

Looks like our next piglets will be until around Fall 2018 ... so stay tuned!

We have decided to sell homestead type unregistered pigs because our area is not familiar with the wonderful Kunekune breed. These pigs that we are offering are purebred and some of them can sell with registration papers for a higher price but the majority we are letting go as unregistered so more people can try out this great Kunekune pig breed at a cost effective price.
