Dairy Barn In The Works. . .
Well, there's progress for you! After many sets of plans and locations, we have actually broke ground and have basic plumbing down, ready to pour foundation.
Day before 2014 Thanksgiving, nice weather is permitting a good pour for the cement. Now if we can just get the barn shell up before it gets too wintery around here!
The foundation and pad are set and just waiting for the shell to get put up. This project is over a year behind schedule. But there's a reason for everything....someone wanted to teach me some patience, I guess. :p
Woohoo!... Yay, progress. : )
The shell is completed on the new dairy barn! Now we need the interior. This is where it gets tricky.....as if it hasn't been already. :p
Interior framing is on it's way. Man, I'm sweating bullets while trying to hold off all these does in milk, keeping kids on and all. Not the best idea but it is what it is. Now off to find the electrician!
Good news.... we actually have some progress. Electrical is almost done and we are hoping for insulation before the snow flies. The exterior doors are on and it's actually starting to look cozy.
I guess no one can say we get anywhere around here too fast but here it is Novemeber 2015 and we actually have the insulation in. We are also just finishing up the electical.
2/5/16 .... I don't know where my photo went but we seriously have electricity now! Also, the OSB board is going up as we speak and we will paint after that. We are getting closer! .....But I hope no one is holding their breath.
4/13/15 ... Yay! We have the sinks all going in and the plumbing almost finished. It will be so nice to have a bathroom out there :)
Well the good news is that the latest barn is pretty much completed. The not so great news is that we have decided, at least for awhile, to not go commercial. We have just too much going on right now.
But here's a pic anyway of what we do out there. :)
